Plastics usual characteristics

Plastics usually have the following characteristics:

• Low strength and low toughness;

• Rich raw materials, low prices;

• Molding easy, easily processed into complex shapes, can be mass production;

• Light weight, low density;

• Continue to distortion by external force;

• Bright colored，easily to change its color due to join the colorant;

• Good insulation for heat and electricity;

• Good corrosion resistance, touch water, oil, acid, chemical drugs, but does not rust;

• Poor heat resistance, most of the plastic heat below a temperature of about 150 ℃;

• No conductivity. May have other special properties, such as transparency, flexibility;
