Collect, analyze product data before the plastic mold design

Before the plastic mold design, we need know the requirements for plastic parts well, we can consider from several aspects :

• Plastic Parts Production Requirements Understand the usage of parts, technology, dimensional accuracy and other technical requirements, such as the part appearance, color or transparency, the use performance requirements, whether is reasonable for the plastic parts slope, inserts, etc, whether allow the extent of welding marks, shrinkage and other molding defects, with or without coating second processing,electroplating, silk screen, drilling and so on.

Estimate tolerances after molding process, whether meet the customer requirements to form a desirable plastic parts. Also, understand the plastic resin molding parameters

• Processing Technology Information Know the mold feed system, injection machine model, plastic material properties, mold structure type The resin should meet the strength requirements of plastic parts, having good flowability, homogeneity, thermal stability. Whether need the second processing, molding materials should meet the dying conditions, decorative properties, the necessary of elasticity and plasticity, transparency or reflection properties, bonding properties (such as ultrasound) or welding and other requirements.

• Select the injection molding machine Injection capacity, clamping pressure, injection pressure, mold installation dimensions, and spherical radius nozzle, the maximum thickness and a minimum thickness of mold, mold open/close stroke.

• Mold structure scenario Two plate mold or three plate mold, is it reliable for mold structure, whether meets the plastic parts of the technology (such as geometry, appearance finishing and dimensional accuracy, etc.) and the economy on the production processing (low parts cost, high production efficiency, the mold can work continuously, long life, save labor cost).
