Classification and their properties for plastic mold

From the mold structure, the mold could be divided into 2 plates mold and 3 plates mold

2 plates mold properties:

• The gate could be cut after molding (for example edge gate, direct gate)

• Mold structure is simple and easy to use

• Convenient for the parts to fall down (If tunnel gate, banana gate, it's unnecessary to manufacture for gate)

• Fewer breakdown, cheaper cost

3 plates mold properties:

• Point gate could be used, gate is unnecessary to be cut in secondary

• Mold structure is complicated, runner and plastic part need be picked up accordingly

• It's possible to put gate in any area of plastic part

• More breakdown than 2 plates mold, the mold cost is higher accordingly
